Ensuring reliable teleprotection communication in critically short timeframes
SGN-OX.T transmits distance protection commands and differential protection signals over optical fiber, packet, and TDM networks. All signal processing is packet-based from the ground up, followed by line transmission via 1GbE / 10GbE Ethernet interfaces for transmission over IP networks, including MPLS. This offers the advantage of simple integration into packet-based transmission networks and shorter transmission times compared to TDM networks. It features two independent power modules, a front-panel display, and support for cybersecurity functions and IEC 61850 standards. SGN-OX.T is the packet-based successor to the TDM-based TP10 device, a member of the PCM30U-OCH product family.
